55 minutes, one to one · Veterans and first responders save 15%
Relationship coaching for whatever keeps showing up with the people in your life: a partner, a parent, your kids, a friend, the person at work you cannot get right. Whether you are dating, married, separating or starting again after a breakup, the work is on how you are with people — what you say, what you avoid, what you expect, and what you keep repeating. We talk about the argument you keep having in different words, how you handle conflict and how you avoid it, trust and how it is rebuilt, boundaries you have not set or have not held, what you are looking for when you date, and why you might be choosing the same thing again.
You can come on your own; the other person does not need to take part, and most of what changes starts with how you show up. Sessions are one to one, fifty-five minutes, by video, or at your home in Santa Cruz County and the Bay Area. By video, a single session is $130, or take a block of four ($495), eight ($935) or twelve ($1,325) — the longer the block, the less each session costs, down to $110. At your home it is $180 a session, with blocks from $695. Veterans and first responders get 15% off. This is coaching, not couples therapy or marriage counselling, and we will say plainly if that is what you need instead.
Does this sound like you?
- The same argument keeps coming back in different words.
- You avoid conflict, or you handle it in a way you regret.
- It might be a partner, a parent, your kids, a friend or someone at work.
- You are dating, married, separating or starting again, and the pattern is familiar.
- You can come on your own. The other person does not need to take part.

You can come on your own; the other person does not need to take part. We work on how you are with people: what you say, what you avoid, what you expect, and what you keep repeating.
Every relationship you have runs on the same handful of moves.

How we approach it
Pick one thing.
We choose the one thing to work on, properly, not several things briefly.
Run it out loud.
We rehearse the real conversation or talk in the room before you have it.
Look at how it went.
After you try something, we look at what actually happened, not what you feared.
The techniques, by name.
- Same Move, Different Person
- spotting the move you repeat across people
- What You're Asking For
- turning a complaint into a clear request
- Say It Once, Clearly
- what happened, how it affected you, what you want

Questions about relationship coaching
Do both people need to come to relationship coaching?
No. This is coaching for you — what you bring to your relationships, whichever one is hardest right now. Most of the work happens with one person.
Can a relationship coach help with dating?
Yes — the same pattern that shows up in a marriage shows up in dating, usually earlier and more visibly. If that is where you are, that is what we work on.
I am going through a breakup. Is this the right time?
Often, yes. It is a good time to look at the pattern honestly, before it finds its way into the next relationship unnoticed.
What if it is a work relationship, not a personal one?
Same work. How you are with a difficult colleague usually runs on the same handful of moves as how you are with family.
